What is the ruling on wearing the "tarboosh," given that it is a symbol of fire worshippers, because the red color of the tarboosh signifies fire?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : What is the ruling in Islam regarding wearing the "tarboosh," given that it is a symbol of fire worshippers, or that the color of the tarboosh is red, signifying fire, and the color of its tassel is black, signifying the smoke of fire?
[Everyone laughs!] This is a strange philosophy, especially after the era of the "tarboosh" has ended, or nearly so. If this were in its prime, by Allah, there would be a reason to look into this.

Another questioner : It is as if the man is saying.

The Shaykh : To be brief: the "tarboosh" was a garment specific to Muslims in the later era of the Turks, until it became a symbol for them, like the yellow turban that is still on the heads of the elders in Damascus, and likewise here. But with time, this "tarboosh," which they called along with everything they used to cover their heads, "sharaf" (honor), this "sharaf" collapsed and went! Practically, no tarboosh or anything else remains on heads.

The questioner : May Allah guide your heart. [Everyone laughs!]

The Shaykh : This is an affirmation by this audience of the colonizers who colonized our lands and stamped their customs upon us. Therefore, we also advise those working to establish the Muslim state to establish it in their hearts, and that includes realizing their Muslim identity. The identity of a Muslim is not established by mere claim, but by appearance. If you took a Muslim and placed him in the heart of disbelief in "Paris," people would point to him and say, "This is a Muslim." This is how a Muslim should be, as he (peace be upon him) said:
The believer who mixes with people and endures their injury is better than the person who does not mix with people nor endure their injury. المؤمن الذي يُخالط الناس ويصبر على أذاهم خيرٌ من الذي يخالطهم ولا يصبر على أذاهم
