The Shaykh : This is a hadith that is authentic in itself through its corroborating narrations for its meaning. Imam al-Shafi'i narrated it in the introduction of his book *al-Sunan* as a mursal (a report missing the Companion link), and al-Tabarani narrated it as a connected chain. It is among the hadiths in *Majma' al-Zawa'id*, so one can refer to it.
