The Shaykh’s mention of the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): “I have not left anything that brings you closer to Allah and farther from the Fire except that I have commanded you to do it…”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original

The Shaykh : For this reason, it is authentically established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) through multiple chains that he said:

I have not left anything that brings you closer to Allah and farther from the Fire except that I have commanded you to do it, and I have not left anything that brings you closer to the Fire and farther from Allah except that I have forbidden it to you.

ما تركت شيئا يقربكم إلى الله ويبعدكم عن النار إلا وأمرتكم به وما تركت شيئا يقربكم إلى النار ويبعدكم عن الله إلا ونهيتكم عنه

There is no room left for adding anything, no matter how easy or minor the added matter may be.
