Interjection by Abu Malik Shuqara regarding the previous topic.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Abu Malik: ... - Our Shaykh - ... and I think this - and Allah knows best - ... is mentioned among the Hanbalis as this opinion, but I want to add a comment on the question of our brother Abu Abd al-Rahman, who says that first: the punishment that touches those sinners who did not escape from the Fire, well, the punishment varies in its degrees among people, and we do not know how long the last person to come out of the Fire remains in the punishment. I wonder, meaning, first, this punishment that touched those people might remain or extend for a very long time that is unknown.

The Shaykh: Ages.
Abu Malik: Ages; because Allah - Mighty and Majestic - did not specify for us the time, or the Messenger - peace and blessings be upon him - did not specify for us the times in which those coming out of the Fire vary ... ever; therefore, those who tasted the touch of the Fire - may Allah protect us! - and they are the last of the believers to come out of the Fire; is that punishment not enough for them first? We ask Allah for well-being; meaning, do we say that the eternalization of these people in the Fire is what we hope for them, or do we hope for those who say: There is no god but Allah, what we do not hope for the one who says the testimony? And the testimony, as our Shaykh indicated, it is sufficient that it is as he - peace and blessings be upon him - said:
Whoever says: There is no god but Allah; with his heart sincere to it; it benefited him on a day of time - or of his time - مَن قال : لا إله إلا الله ؛ خالصًا بها قلبه ؛ نَفَعَتْه يومًا من الدهر - أو من دهره -
, this is one point.
As for the second issue: our Shaykh referred to this issue, but I say: even in a different form or in other words, that the one who never did any good; meaning: did not do a righteous deed other than There is no god but Allah, then There is no god but Allah is the deed that benefited him, and it is the statement he made; because it is a tongue that moves with it, so it is a deed, and a heart that believes, so it is a deed as well, but the Messenger - peace and blessings be upon him - meant that he never did any good; meaning: from the deeds that the other believers used to do.

Another questioner: Or its implications.

The Shaykh: Its implications, as our Shaykh said.
This is a very important issue, in fact, and we Muslims, of course, should not be negligent; because every Muslim is exposed - we ask Allah for well-being - if his affairs turn bad in the beginning of his life, in the middle, or at the end, that nothing remains for him except what he says, or this word he says: There is no god but Allah; so how can we be satisfied with the one who says: There is no god but Allah, that we equate him with the one who says something else, or the one who denies its truth, or the one who denies it itself?
