The Ruling on the Udhiyah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
His Eminence the Shaykh: A man has sons with his family, and he has other sons in another city who have not been married for an unknown period—whether a year or two. Do they have to offer a sacrifice?
If they offer a sacrifice, that is good. If they leave off the sacrifice, they owe nothing; it is not obligatory for them. In fact, the sacrifice is not obligatory for anyone, ever. The sacrifice is a confirmed recommended practice (sunnah) in the first place.
