The ruling on the greeting of the mosque when entering the prayer hall

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Your Eminence! We have a mosque inside the school, but prayer is only performed there at one time. Some of the students, when they come to pray, enter the mosque and sit down immediately. Some of them argue and say: that this is a prayer hall, and the ruling on the greeting of the mosque does not apply to it. Please give us a ruling, and may you be rewarded. May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh: Is this mosque you mentioned established by the Lawgiver? The questioner: No.

The Shaykh: It is built, but it is inside the school, and only the people of the school pray in it.

The questioner: Yes, only the people of the school pray in it.
It appears to me that this is a prayer hall and not a mosque, as evidenced by the fact that if they left this school, this mosque would become invalid. However, I encourage our brothers that no one should sit until he prays; because this is better. By Allah! A time will come for each of us in which he will wish that he had in his book of good deeds one or two rak'ahs. It is said: My brother! Why do you deprive yourself?! For two reasons: First: there is a possibility that it is a mosque, in which case it falls under the generality of the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family): "When one of you enters the mosque, let him not sit until he prays two rak'ahs".

Second: Assuming it is not a mosque, which is the more apparent view to me, pray two rak'ahs, which will benefit you with Allah (Mighty and Majestic).
