The ruling on the greeting of the mosque for every entry into the mosque

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This is a questioner residing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who says—Your Eminence, the Shaykh: Does a person pray the greeting of the mosque every time he enters the mosque, meaning: after every prayer? Or once a day? And does this prayer suffice for the recommended practice, or not? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
It is a recommended practice (sunnah) for one who enters the mosque while in a state of ritual purity to pray two units of prayer as the greeting of the mosque; based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
If anyone of you enters a Mosque, he should not sit until he has offered a tworak` at prayer.إذا دخل أحد المسجد؛ فلا يجلس حتى يصلي ركعتين
Sahih al-Bukhari 1167
And in the other wording:
let him perform two Rak'ah before sittingفليركع ركعتين قبل أن يجلس
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 316Sahih (Darussalam)
This is a recommended practice at any time: in the time of the morning prayer, in the midday prayer, in the afternoon prayer, in the sunset prayer.. at any time. It has no prohibited time according to the correct view, even if one enters after the afternoon prayer, he does not sit, he waits for the sunset prayer, he prays two units, or if he enters after the dawn prayer to attend circles of knowledge, or to sit in the mosque, he prays two units if he is in a state of ritual purity before he sits. It has no prohibited time. This is what is prescribed for the Muslim, and it is a confirmed recommended practice.
And if he enters the mosque multiple times; he prays every time he enters. If he enters twice in the morning, or three times, or in the midday, or in the afternoon, or at night, every time he enters while in a state of ritual purity; he prays two units. And if he enters and prays the regular voluntary prayer, the regular voluntary prayer of the midday suffices for the greeting of the mosque. If he prays the regular voluntary prayer of the midday, two units or four units, the regular voluntary prayer before the midday is a recommended practice of four units with two closings of the prayer. So if he prays them; they suffice for the greeting of the mosque. And likewise, if he enters the dawn prayer and he has not prayed the regular voluntary prayer in his house, he prays the regular voluntary prayer in the mosque; it suffices for him for the greeting of the mosque. Two units, the recommended practice of the dawn prayer suffices for the greeting of the mosque.. And praise be to Allah.

The presenter: May Allah reward you and bless you, may the Shaykh be respected.
