Ruling on turning off the loudspeaker at the iqamah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The honorable Shaykh! Some mu'adhdhins turn off the loudspeaker at the iqamah and during the prayer, both inside and outside? The Shaykh: And why do they turn it off?Interjection: They turn it off; they do not use it except for the adhan only.

The Shaykh: There is nothing wrong with this; in fact, it may be better. That is, using the loudspeaker only for the adhan is the best. However, if it is used for the iqamah, there is nothing wrong with it. But if it is used during the prayer, that is not allowed; because using it during the prayer leads to disturbing those who are close to the mosque.

The questioner: Even if it is the internal one, Shaykh? The Shaykh: Even the internal one is not necessary, as long as the mosque is not large and does not have many congregations, and they hear the imam clearly. What is the benefit? The questioner: But some of them do not hear his voice.

The Shaykh: If the mosque is spacious or the congregations are numerous and they need to hear the voice, then there is nothing wrong with it.
