Combining Prayers While Traveling and Its Method

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Some people are lenient, while others are strict, regarding combining prayers while traveling. And some say: If he settles in the place he intends to reach, he combines. And some say: No.
What if the hardship of travel becomes severe while he is on the road?
Combining prayers for the traveler is a recommended practice (sunnah) when there is a need for it, which is when the road becomes difficult for him.Meaning: If he continues in his journey, he combines by bringing the prayer forward if that is easier for him, or by delaying it if that is easier for him. However, if he is residing in a town or residing in a rest stop in the desert, then if he is residing in a rest stop in the desert, it is better not to combine, but if he combines, there is no harm. If he is residing in a town, it is obligatory for him to attend the congregational prayer, and it is not permissible for him to be absent from the congregation on the grounds that he is a traveler; because the Friday prayer and the congregational prayer are not dropped for a traveler if he is in a town.because of His saying, the Exalted:
O you who have believed, when [the adhan] is called for the prayer on the day of Jumu'ah [Friday], then proceed to the remembrance of Allah and leave tradeيَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا نُودِيَ لِلصَّلاةِ مِنْ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ فَاسَعَوْا إِلَى ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَذَرُوا الْبَيْعَ
[Al-Jumu'ah: 9] And the traveler is among those who believe, and because Allah the Exalted commanded His Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to pray with his companions in congregation during battle, and battle did not occur except while traveling.

And as for what has become famous among some people in their saying: If he is a traveler, there is no congregation or Friday prayer upon him, so there is a consideration here. The scholars (may Allah have mercy on them) have explicitly stated that the one residing in a town is obligated to perform the Friday prayer. But they said: It is obligatory upon him along with the others.
