Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, and may he perish)]

Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says:
May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he.
[Al-Masad: 1] And this is a response to his saying -Meaning: the saying of Abu Lahab - when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gathered them to call them to Allah, so he brought good news and gave warning,Abu Lahab said: "Woe to you! Is this what you gathered us for?" This expression is for belittling,Meaning: this is a trivial matter that does not require gathering the leaders of Quraysh,And this is like their saying:
Is this the one who insults your gods?
[Al-Anbiya: 36] meaning: they criticize it and curse it -they mean the Messenger-Quraysh says:
Is this the one who insults your gods?
[Al-Anbiya: 36] and the meaning is: for belittling, it is nothing and they do not care about it,As they said:
Why was this Qur'an not sent down upon a great man from [one of] the two cities?"لَوْلا نُزِّلَ هَذَا الْقُرْآنُ عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْقَرْيَتَيْنِ عَظِيمٍ
[Al-Zukhruf: 31] .

In conclusion: That Abu Lahab said: "Woe to you! Is this what you gathered us for?" So Allah responded to him with this surah
May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he.
[Al-Masad: 1] and tabab is loss,As Allah the Exalted said:
And the plan of Pharaoh was not except in ruin.
[Ghafir: 37] meaning: loss, and He began with his hands before his self; because the hands are the instrument of action, movement, taking and giving, and the like, and this title Abu Lahab is a title that fits his state and his end perfectly.

The point of suitability: That this man will be in a blazing fire -seeking refuge in Allah- with a great flame, so his kunya (patronymic) matches his state and his end,And the poet says:
And I have never seen a person with a title except that it matches its meaning if you reflect on his title

And when Suhayl ibn 'Amr came forward in the story of the Battle of Hudaybiyyah, the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (This is Suhayl ibn 'Amr, and I do not think he will make things easy for you regarding your affair) because the name matches the action.

Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says:
His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained.
[Al-Masad: 2] (What) it is possible that it is interrogative,And the meaning is: What did his wealth and what he earned avail him?
Nothing,And it is possible that "ma" is negative, meaning: His wealth and what he earned did not avail him anything, and both meanings are concomitant,And their meaning is: That his wealth and what he earned did not avail him anything, and although the custom is that wealth is beneficial, a person brings wealth to himself,If an enemy had power over him and said: I will give you so much and so much of wealth and release me, he will release him, but he may ask for a lot or a little of wealth, if he got sick he would benefit from his wealth, if he was hungry he would benefit from his wealth, so wealth is beneficial, but the benefit that does not save its owner from the Fire is not a benefit.
