For example: Prayer has impediments to its validity, such as speaking during prayer, which invalidates it; fasting has invalidators, which are the things that break the fast; and Hajj has prohibitions, which are the things forbidden during the state of ihram. Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, has referred to them in the Noble Qur'an, and the Sunnah has explained them all.So in the Qur'an, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says:
Hajj is [during] well-known months, so whoever has made Hajj obligatory upon himself therein [by entering the state of ihram], there is [to be for him] no sexual relations and no disobedience and no disputing during Hajj.
[al-Baqarah: 197] Rafath: The scholars said it is: intercourse and its preliminaries, such as physical contact, kissing, and the like. The Sunnah completed this prohibition by stating that a person in ihram is not permitted to marry, to give someone in marriage, or to propose to a woman while in ihram. Accordingly, intercourse, physical contact for the sake of desire, looking with desire, contracting a marriage, and proposing are all forbidden during ihram.

First: Intercourse; The scholars said: If a man has intercourse during Hajj before the first tahallul, several consequences follow: First, sin, because he has done what Allah has forbidden.

The second: His ritual becomes defective, so it does not count as Hajj, even if it was voluntary, because it is defective.

And the third: He must continue with it. This is a specific characteristic of Hajj: one continues with it even if it is defective. As for other acts of worship, if a person commits its invalidators, it becomes defective and he must exit from it. But as for Hajj, if a person commits its prohibitions, he does not exit from it;So we say to this man whose ritual has become defective: he continues with the ritual.

The fourth: He must make it up; that is, making up this Hajj that he invalidated, whether it was obligatory or voluntary.

The fifth: He must sacrifice a camel, slaughter it, and distribute it to the poor; a camel that has reached the required age, similar to what is acceptable for the 'Id sacrifice, and free from defects that prevent it from being acceptable.
As for what is less than intercourse, such as physical contact, even if it results in ejaculation, it does not invalidate the ritual, but it is forbidden, and a fidyah is required for it. The mention of the fidyah will come later, if Allah wills.
