Ruling on Hanging Verses in Halls

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner: What is the ruling on hanging verses in halls? The Shaykh: Why does he hang them in the gathering? The questioner: For decoration.

The Shaykh: So it means: that it is playing with the Qur'an, treating it as mere decoration,Meaning: as if it were ordinary engravings. That is why you find some verses written as if they were a palace, or a minaret, or the like. This is forbidden, and there is no doubt about it.
But some people hang them seeking blessing from them, and this is also not correct, because the Qur'an is not sought for blessing in this manner. That is why the predecessors did not precede us in this, and the Salaf did not hang verses on their walls and seek blessing from them.
And some people hang them as protection and defense, like the daily recitation, for example, hanging the Verse of the Throne,Because the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (Whoever reads it in a night, a guardian from Allah will not cease to be over him, and no devil will approach him until he becomes morning) He says: leave it there so that the devil does not approach. This is also an error, because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) conditioned the ruling on the recitation, not on the hanging.
Then, if a person hangs it, he relies on it and stops reading the Verse of the Throne, and this is harm to him.

And some people say: I hang it to be reminded by it,And hangs, for example:
or backbite each otherوَلا يَغْتَبْ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضاً
[Al-Hujurat:12] in order to restrain him from backbiting. Is this correct? You find
or backbite each otherوَلا يَغْتَبْ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضاً
[Al-Hujurat:12] and under this written sign they backbite people. It does not restrain them, nor do they raise their heads to it, so this becomes a kind of mockery of the verses of Allah,That the speech of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) is above you, he says:
or backbite each otherوَلا يَغْتَبْ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضاً
[Al-Hujurat:12] and you slander people and eat their flesh.

So the important thing is: That hanging them is, at the least, what we say about it: that it is a religious innovation, which the Salaf did not do, or disliked, especially if hung in mosques in front of people; because some people are distracted while praying if it is in the qiblah. Perhaps he raises his gaze and then reads the verse while in the tashahhud, for example.
And praise be to Allah, the Qur'an is a written mushaf. Whoever wants to read, let him read from the mushaf, and whoever wants to be admonished, let the admonisher be in his heart.
