The Seventh: And in the Cause of Allah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :
and for the cause of Allah and for the [stranded] traveler وفي سبيل الله وابن السبيل
[At-Tawbah 9:60]
in the Cause of Allah, as He said:
and for the freeing of slaves في الرقاب
The meaning of "in the Cause of Allah" is specifically jihad in the Cause of Allah, and it is not intended to mean all paths of good, as some have claimed. If it were intended to mean all paths of good, the restriction would have no benefit. What is the restriction?
Zakah expenditures are only for the poor إنما الصدقات للفقراء
[At-Tawbah 9:60]
If we said that all forms of good are included in spending, what benefit would the restriction have? Accordingly, the meaning of "in the Cause of Allah" is what? Jihad in the Cause of Allah.
