The Ruling on Blood That Emerges from the Body

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Your Eminence, is blood that emerges from the body ritually impure? And is it obligatory to remove one’s clothes when performing the prayer?
Blood that emerges from the body, if it comes from the two passages,Meaning: from the front or the back, is ritually impure, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to order women during menstruation to wash away the menstrual blood.
And if it comes from the rest of the body, such as a nosebleed, a wound, or the like, the majority of scholars hold that it is ritually impure, but a small amount of it is excused,Meaning: a small quantity of it, even if it affects the body or the garment,And some scholars: they hold that it is not ritually impure, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “The believer does not become ritually impure” , and the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) during jihad would be wounded, and their bodies and garments would be soiled with that blood, yet it is not reported that they were ordered to wash it. Also, because what separates from a human being is pure; if, for example, his finger were cut off, the finger would be pure. So if the parts are pure when they separate, then the purity of the blood is all the more so. However, the parts that separate must contain blood,But the precaution: that he should wash it, unless it is a small amount that is customary, in which case there is no harm in not washing it.
But why did you not ask whether it invalidates the ablution or not?So we say: It does not invalidate the ablution except what comes from the two passages; as for what comes from the rest of the body, it does not invalidate the ablution, whether it is a small amount or a large amount.
