Ruling on combining and shortening prayers for one who travels and intends to return on the same day

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
A traveler went for trade such that he would return on the same day. He arrived before the midday prayer and wants to return before the afternoon prayer. Is it permissible to combine by delaying, or not?
There is nothing wrong with it, if the town is far away, then there is nothing wrong with combining by delaying or combining by advancing, according to what is easiest for him.

The questioner: If he intended to combine by delaying, for example, and then prayed combining by advancing, what is required of him?The Shaykh: There is nothing wrong with intending to combine by delaying first, and then it occurs to him to advance, just as if he intended to combine by advancing and then it occurs to him to delay, all of it is permissible.
