Combining the Rearing of Children with Voluntary Hajj

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Honorable Shaykh! A person asks: he has children who occupy him and prevent him from performing voluntary Hajj, and he fears for them a deficiency in morals while he is performing voluntary Hajj. Do you see an excuse for him in this, or not?
There is no doubt that rearing his children is obligatory, and voluntary Hajj is not obligatory, nor is voluntary 'Umrah. So if he fears for his children that they will be neglected if he goes to perform 'Umrah in Ramadan, for example, or Hajj, then it is not permissible for him to go to Hajj; because he is directly responsible for his family. And the Hajj I am speaking about is voluntary Hajj.
