[Ruling on Reciting Surat Yasin for the Dead]

Honorable Shaykh! What is the authenticity of the hadith that says: “Recite Yasin for your dead” and some people recite it at the grave?
“Recite Yasin for your dead” This hadith is weak, and the place of recitation, if the hadith were authentic, is at the time of death when the person is in the throes of death, for Surat Yasin is recited for him,The scholars said: and there is a benefit in it, which is facilitating the departure of the soul;Because in it is the saying of Allah the Exalted:
(26) It was said, "Enter Paradise." He said, "I wish my people could know (27) Of how my Lord has forgiven me and placed me among the honored."
[Yasin:26-27] so it is recited for the dying person, this if the hadith is authentic, but as for reciting it at the grave, there is no basis for it.
