Advice regarding the love of this world and immersion in amusements and desires
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Your Eminence! You know what has opened up for people in this age regarding the love of this world and immersion in amusements and desires, and what the enemies of Islam are planning. We want a word for whoever hears this speech or reads it, or advice to return to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) and to return to the Book of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He).
I think that nothing is more impactful than the admonitions in the Noble Qur'an,And Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) summarized that by saying: [Fatiha:7-6] .
These two verses are among the greatest admonitions for one who reflects. The promise of Allah is true, whether it is a reward and recompense for the righteous, or a punishment and retribution for the disobedient. It is true, truthful, established, and it must come to pass,Then he said: It diverts you from what Allah has commanded or causes you to fall into what Allah has forbidden. In reality, the life of this world deceives the foolish, the reckless person. As for the sensible, prudent person, it does not deceive him. How can this world deceive a person when, in reality, it is filled and full of worry, grief, distress, and turmoil,And as the first poet said:
There is no sweetness in life as long as it is spoiled by the remembrance of death and old age
You see a person on the surface of the earth today, and in the depths of the earth tomorrow. And those who have passed on, is it not possible that it will pass over you?Answer: Yes, it is possible that you are in the world of this life today and in the world of the Hereafter tomorrow. So how can you be deceived by a dwelling from which a person does not know when he will depart, a dwelling from which departure is not in your hand, a dwelling where one does not know whether the comfort he is in will remain or disappear.
In conclusion: A person must not be deceived by this world, and he must reflect on his affair, and he must know that he is a passerby in this world to another abode. Even the abode of the graves is not an abode, but rather a visit,As Allah the Exalted said: [At-Takathur:1-2] and the abode is either Paradise or the Fire. I ask Allah to make me and you among the people of Paradise. So it is not befitting for a sensible person to be deceived by this world, [Fatiha:5] Satan and the friends of Satan. So deception is a generic term, not specific to Satan, but it is general for Satan and his friends. How many are the devils of mankind who deceive a person, make him foolish, and cause him to fall into what he will regret, and they are the bad companions whom the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) warned against, where he said: (The example of the bad companion is like the bellower of the bellows; either he will burn your clothes, or you will find a foul smell from him) .
Then Allah (Mighty and Majestic) clarified that a person is not deceived by this world except by an enemy of his, and that is Satan,So he said:[Fatir 35:6] And Allah is truthful. The verse here contains a statement and a request,The statement is His saying:[Fatir 35:6] And the request is: Allah commanded us to take him as an enemy,If someone were to say: How do I know that this is from Satan or from the Most Merciful? We said: If what has settled in your heart is a love for sins and a hatred for acts of obedience, then it is from Satan. And it is known that if it is a love for acts of obedience and a hatred for sins, then it is from the Most Merciful (Mighty and Majestic). This is the sign,Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Baqarah:268] ,And Allah the Exalted said: [Fatiha:6] But they are ignorant; they do not call the foolish. They think that this is the good,Or Satan dictates to them and says: Do it, then repent. Then he does it and does not repent.
We ask Allah to protect us from the evils of our souls and the evils of our enemies.
I think that nothing is more impactful than the admonitions in the Noble Qur'an,And Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) summarized that by saying:
(5) O mankind, indeed the promise of Allah is truth, so let not the worldly life delude you and be not deceived about Allah by the Deceiver. (6) Indeed, Satan is an enemy to you; so take him as an enemy. He only invites his party to be among the companions of the Blaze.
These two verses are among the greatest admonitions for one who reflects. The competition for more has distracted you until you visit the graveyards.
أَلْهَاكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُ * حَتَّى زُرْتُمُ الْمَقَابِرَand be not deceived about Allah by the Deceiver.
Then Allah (Mighty and Majestic) clarified that a person is not deceived by this world except by an enemy of his, and that is Satan,So he said:

إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّSo take him as an enemy
Satan threatens you with poverty and orders you to immorality
He only invites his party to be among the companions of the Blaze.
We ask Allah to protect us from the evils of our souls and the evils of our enemies.
