The reciter: He said (may Allah have mercy on him): "The chapter on the virtue of asceticism in this world, the exhortation to take little of it, and the virtue of poverty:
Allah the Exalted said:[Yunus 10:24].
And He the Exalted said:[Al-Kahf 18:45-46].
And He said:[Al-Hadid 57:20].
And He said, the Exalted:[Ali 'Imran 3:14].
And He said:[Fatir 35:5].
And He said:[At-Takathur 102:1-5].
And He said:[Al-'Ankabut 29:64] " .
Allah the Exalted said:
The example of [this] worldly life is but like rain which We have sent down from the sky that the plants of the earth absorb - [those] from which men and livestock eat - until, when the earth has taken on its adornment and is beautified and its people suppose that they have capability over it, there comes to it Our command by night or by day, and We make it as a harvest, as if it had not flourished yesterday. Thus do We explain in detail the signs for a people who give thought.
And He the Exalted said:
(45) And present to them the example of the life of this world, [its being] like rain which We send down from the sky, and the vegetation of the earth mingles with it and [then] it becomes dry remnants, scattered by the winds. And Allah is ever, over all things, Perfect in Ability. (46) Wealth and children are [but] adornment of the worldly life. But the enduring good deeds are better to your Lord for reward and better for [one's] hope.
And He said:
Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children - like the example of a rain whose [resulting] plant growth pleases the tillers; then it dries and you see it turned yellow; then it becomes [scattered] debris. And in the Hereafter is severe punishment and forgiveness from Allah and approval. And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion.
And He said, the Exalted:
Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire - of women and sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allah has with Him the best return.
And He said:
O mankind, indeed the promise of Allah is truth, so let not the worldly life delude you and be not deceived about Allah by the Deceiver.
And He said:
(1) Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you (2) Until you visit the graveyards. (3) No! You are going to know. (4) Then no! You are going to know. (5) No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty...
And He said:
