The Ruling on Voluntary Prayer Between Maghrib and 'Isha'

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Your Eminence! What is the ruling on performing voluntary prayer between Maghrib and 'Isha'? Should one persist in it or leave it off sometimes? And is it wrong to criticize one who persists in voluntary prayer between Maghrib and 'Isha', or is this considered excessive strictness and rigor in the religion? May Allah reward you with good.
It is not wrong to criticize one who performs voluntary prayer between Maghrib and 'Isha'; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) specifying the times of prohibition indicates that all other times are times for prayer. In fact, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to a man who said to him: (Ask,He said: I ask you to accompany me in Paradise,He said: or something else?He said: That is it,He said: help yourself with much prostration) meaning: with much prayer. So you should stick to prayer, for it is the best. If you keep praying from the setting of the sun until the dawn breaks, you are on the right path. But do not overburden yourself, meaning: Do not make this an obligation upon yourself, as 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As did, when he would stand in prayer at night and fast during the day, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade him from doing that.
