The ruling on Hajj for one who has fulfilled the conditions of obligation

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Issue: Is it obligatory for a person, once the conditions of obligation have been met for him, to hasten to perform Hajj, or is he permitted to delay it?

There is a disagreement among the scholars on this: Some of them say: He is permitted to delay it.

And the correct view is: That he is not permitted to delay it, and that he must hasten to perform it; because all obligatory acts require hastening unless there is evidence to the contrary. If it is said: How can we say: It is immediate,And that it is obligatory to hasten with it, and we say: That it was an obligation in the ninth year, yet the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not perform Hajj?We said the answer to that is: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not perform Hajj in the ninth year because the delegations of Muslims increased in that year,And for this reason this year is called: The Year of Delegations, and it is known that the Prophet (peace be upon him), if he remained in Madinah receiving the delegations and teaching them Islam, it was better than going to Makkah and performing Hajj.

And from another perspective: In the ninth year, the polytheists performed Hajj with the Muslims before it was forbidden for them to approach the Sacred Mosque, and they performed Hajj naked,So the mu'adhdhin of the Muslims called out and informed the people: "No polytheist shall perform Hajj after this year, nor shall anyone circumambulate the House naked." So Allah chose for His Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) that his Hajj be exclusively with the Muslims, with no polytheist in it, and no one circumambulating the House naked.
