Ruling on using machines to shred paper containing the name of Allah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
May Allah reward you, O Shaykh! There is a machine that shreds paper so finely that the words written on it cannot be read. Is it permissible to put in it papers containing verses from the Qur'an, since it shreds the paper?
This machine that cuts paper: if you put in it a page from a mushaf, a page of hadith, or a page containing a verse or a hadith, and it tears it up until the name of Allah, for example, is no longer present, then there is no harm.

The questioner: Perhaps some letters may still appear.

The Shaykh: These machines are of two types: one type cuts the paper into long strips. In these, the name of Allah, for example, or a word from a verse might still be visible. These are not suitable. And some of them shred it until it is like grains of rice, meaning: It cuts it both lengthwise and crosswise, so no letter remains in it. If you want to buy one like this, buy this type.As for the first type, as I told you: If we examine these strips and find the name of Allah or the wording of a verse in them, we must burn the paper in which we found the name of Allah.
