The ruling on the imam prolonging the first tashahhud
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
If the imam prolongs his sitting in the first tashahhud and the ma'mum finishes reciting the first tashahhud, what should he do with the remaining time?
If the imam prolongs the first tashahhud, continue in the tashahhud until you have completed it, even if he has finished; there is no blame on you. Likewise, if you catch up with him in the last two rak'ahs, he will prolong the tashahhud, because the tashahhud is the second for him and the first for you. So complete the tashahhud, there is no blame on you, and finish the tashahhud. Send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and seek refuge in Allah from the punishment of Hellfire and from the punishment of the grave, or supplicate with whatever you wish.
