Exegesis of His saying, the Exalted: (And the angels who pull out with force, and the angels who pull out gently)
Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says: [Al-Naziat: 1-5] .
All of these are descriptions of the angels according to the deeds that Allah, Mighty and Majestic, commanded them to perform.
His saying: meaning: pulling out with intensity.
Meaning: The angels entrusted with taking the souls of the believers, they pull them out gently,Meaning: they ease it for them with gentleness like a lasso, and I think you know what a lasso is,The binding that they call among us: (the knot) or words like that, meaning it is a binding such that if you pull one end, the knot comes undone quickly and easily.
So these angels entrusted with taking the souls of the believers pull them out gently, meaning: they ease it for them with gentleness; and the reason for that is that the angels entrusted with taking the souls of the disbelievers, when they call the soul to come out, they call it with the ugliest descriptions,The angels say to the soul of the disbeliever: "Come out, you evil soul -it was in an evil body- come out to the anger of Allah," so the soul recoils, not wanting to come out to this, and it scatters in the body, may Allah protect us, until they take it with intensity, and they pull it out with a pulling that nearly tears the body apart from the intensity of the pulling.
As for the souls of the believers -may Allah make me and you among them-So when the angels descend to take it, they give it glad tidings: "Come out, you good soul -it was in a good body- come out to the pleasure of Allah," and words like this that make it easy for it to part from the body it was accustomed to, so it comes out easily,Therefore, when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (Whoever loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him, and whoever hates to meet Allah, Allah hates to meet him,Aisha said: O Messenger of Allah! We all hate death,So he said: It is not so, but when the believer's time comes, he is given glad tidings of mercy from Allah and His pleasure, so he loves to meet Allah) because at that moment he sees that he will move to a home better than the home he left,He rejoices as one of us rejoices when it is said to him: "Come out from the house of clay to the fortified house and the well-built, good palace," so the believer rejoices and loves to meet Allah, and the disbeliever -may Allah protect us- is the opposite; when he is given tidings of anger and punishment, he hates to meet Allah, so Allah hates to meet him.
Therefore: (And the angels who pull out with force) are: The angels who pull out the souls of the disbelievers with intensity, (and the angels who pull out gently) the angels who take the souls of the believers with ease and comfort.
Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says:
(1) By those [angels] who extract with violence (2) And [by] those who remove with ease (3) And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming (4) And those who race each other in a race (5) And those who arrange [each] matter,
All of these are descriptions of the angels according to the deeds that Allah, Mighty and Majestic, commanded them to perform.
His saying:

وَالنَّازِعَاتِ غَرْقاًAnd the angels who pull out gently
وَالنَّاشِطَاتِ نَشْطاًSo these angels entrusted with taking the souls of the believers pull them out gently, meaning: they ease it for them with gentleness; and the reason for that is that the angels entrusted with taking the souls of the disbelievers, when they call the soul to come out, they call it with the ugliest descriptions,The angels say to the soul of the disbeliever: "Come out, you evil soul -it was in an evil body- come out to the anger of Allah," so the soul recoils, not wanting to come out to this, and it scatters in the body, may Allah protect us, until they take it with intensity, and they pull it out with a pulling that nearly tears the body apart from the intensity of the pulling.
