Al-Halabi mentions the form of the owner of a travel check’s dealings with merchants

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Come, Abu al-Harith, what do you have?
Al-Halabi : Our Shaykh, through my travel to America, the young men spoke to me and asked me a lot about this issue. And the truth, my teacher, is that these companies or banks have several formulas and several types. Some of the types are what the brothers mentioned, but there is another type where the owner of the check does not deal with other banks; he deals with merchants. That is, a merchant gives him the check and takes money from him.

The Shaykh : No problem.
Al-Halabi : To the extent of what he has in the check.

The Shaykh : May Allah bless you. Let us finish the first issue.
Al-Halabi : This is also a form, our Shaykh.

The Shaykh : No problem, no problem.
Al-Halabi : They take deductions from it, Shaykh.

The Shaykh : My brother, we do not want a second issue right now; we want to finish the first one.
Al-Halabi : They take deductions.

The Shaykh : Who is taking?
Al-Halabi : The second bank takes from the first bank, meaning they take financial commissions on the check that is paid. This one takes money and that one takes money; both of them take money.

The Shaykh : From whom?
Al-Halabi : From some, to the extent of the dealing, our Shaykh, they take money. The second thing, to the extent of his dealing, he gives them money for the first bank.
