The Meaning of the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) Approval of One of His Companions

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Does the approval of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) of one of the Companions indicate that something is recommended or that it is obligatory?
If the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) approved someone for performing an act of worship, then if it was part of his guidance, it is recommended. If it was not part of his guidance but he approved it, then it falls under the category of what is permissible, such that if a person does it, he is not censured for it.Its example is: The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a man on a military expedition, and whenever he recited in prayer, he would conclude with "Say: He is Allah, the One" (Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad). Every time he recited, he would conclude with "Say: He is Allah, the One." This was reported to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he approved it. However, this is not part of the Sunnah; because if it had been part of the Sunnah, the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) would have done it.
