Seeking Refuge and Its Place in the Prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The honorable Shaykh! Is seeking refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan in the prayer done in the first rak'ah? Or in every rak'ah?
Seeking refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan in the prayer is a recommended practice (sunnah). And the scholars (may Allah have mercy on them) differed: Does one seek refuge in every rak'ah, or only in the first rak'ah?There are two opinions regarding this: What appears to me is that it is recited once in the prayer, so the seeking of refuge is in the first rak'ah, unless something occurs that necessitates seeking refuge, such as if the door of whispers opens for him. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered a person, if the door of whispers opens for him, to spit to his left three times and seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan.
