The Ruling on the Rafidah and How to Deal with Them

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Regarding the Rafidah, are they considered disbelievers? And how should a Muslim deal with them? Some of the Rafidah display hatred toward the people of the Sunnah, so how should we deal with them, O Shaykh?
The Rafidah, may Allah bless you, are like the other people of innovation. If they commit what necessitates disbelief, they become disbelievers. If they commit what necessitates open sinfulness, they become open sinners. And if some of their statements are close to the statements of the people of the Sunnah, there is some consideration involved, and it becomes a matter of independent legal reasoning, so in that regard they are like the others as well.

So it is not possible to answer with a general answer and say: Are all the Rafidah disbelievers, or are all the Rafidah open sinners? No, rather, it is necessary to distinguish and examine their religious innovation.
And it is obligatory for us to call them to the truth and to clarify it to them. If we know which sect they belong to, it is upon us to point out the defect of that sect. Do not despair, for the hearts are between two fingers of the fingers of the Most Merciful (Mighty and Majestic). Perhaps Allah will guide them through our hands, and much good will come to us. The person who is guided after having been unguided may be of greater and greater benefit to the society than the one who was guided before; because the newly guided person has known the falsehood and turned away from it, and he will clarify it to the people.
