What is the ruling on one who permits the marriage of a Rafidi to a Sunni woman, and vice versa?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He was asked a question: Is it permissible to marry a Rafidi woman, or for a Rafidi man to marry a Sunni woman? He said: I am surprised by this question.

The Shaykh : What am I?

The questioner : By this question, I mean that a Rafidi marries a Sunni woman. He said, "There is nothing wrong with it; they are Muslims and we are Muslims." So what is your opinion, O Shaykh, of this fatwa?

The Shaykh : I see that whoever disagrees with this opinion should discuss it with the Shaykh. Since he is a mufti who is engaged in issuing fatwas, it is obligatory for our brother scholars, if the one engaged in issuing fatwas, or the one appointed as the general mufti of the state, issues a fatwa that they do not consider correct, to discuss it with him until the matter becomes clear, whether it is this or that.

The questioner : Shaykh, excuse us, there are no scholars there from whom most of the brothers, the students of knowledge, take their knowledge. We rely on your fatwas. We came from there specifically to take from you, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : As for...

The questioner : And we return to the people who have a listening ear for you. May Allah reward you with good. If you could give us [an answer], if Allah wills.

The Shaykh : By Allah, we are unable to give you [an answer] regarding the general mufti. If the man were in front of us now, we would see his point of view, and perhaps there would be a discussion between us and him. But since he is not present, I do not see that we should issue a fatwa on anything.

The questioner : What is your opinion, O Shaykh?

The Shaykh : This is my opinion: that we do not issue a fatwa on anything regarding this matter. Yes.
