The Blessing of Security
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
As for the third blessing, it is: The blessing of security, in which this land is enveloped. The people, praise be to Allah, are in complete security for their lives, their families, and their wealth. There are no assassinations, praise be to Allah, nor robberies of homes, nor theft of money. Indeed, money is left in the markets without a guard, but Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, guards it with the security He has deposited in this land.
These three blessings are those to which Allah the Exalted referred in His saying: [Quraysh: 3-4] .
So feeding from hunger is achieved, and security from fear is achieved, and what remains for us is worship.
We, praise be to Allah, see that our land is among the best of the Islamic lands. But will these blessings remain, or increase, or disappear? The answer came from Allah, Mighty and Majestic. Allah the Exalted said: [Ibrahim: 7] If we thank Allah for these blessings and fulfill what is obligatory of the rights of Allah and the rights of His servants, the greatest of which are the rights of the parents.
As for the right of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), it is included in the right of Allah. For this reason, you find the noble verses mention the right of Allah the Exalted, then the right of the parents,Allah the Exalted said: [An-Nisa: 36] .
So why was the right of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) not mentioned, when it is greater than the right of the parents? Because it is included in the right of Allah the Exalted, since worship is not completed except by sincerity to Allah and following the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). And if we follow the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), we have fulfilled the right.
These three blessings are those to which Allah the Exalted referred in His saying:
(3) Let them worship the Lord of this House, (4) Who has fed them, [saving them] from hunger and made them safe, [saving them] from fear.
فَلْيَعْبُدُوا رَبَّ هَذَا الْبَيْتِ * الَّذِي أَطْعَمَهُمْ مِنْ جُوعٍ وَآمَنَهُمْ مِنْ خَوْفٍSo feeding from hunger is achieved, and security from fear is achieved, and what remains for us is worship.
We, praise be to Allah, see that our land is among the best of the Islamic lands. But will these blessings remain, or increase, or disappear? The answer came from Allah, Mighty and Majestic. Allah the Exalted said:
And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, 'If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]; but if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe.' "
As for the right of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), it is included in the right of Allah. For this reason, you find the noble verses mention the right of Allah the Exalted, then the right of the parents,Allah the Exalted said:
Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and to parents do good
وَاعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَلا تُشْرِكُوا بِهِ شَيْئاً وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَاناًSo why was the right of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) not mentioned, when it is greater than the right of the parents? Because it is included in the right of Allah the Exalted, since worship is not completed except by sincerity to Allah and following the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). And if we follow the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), we have fulfilled the right.
