The obligation upon us regarding security and safety

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The Shaykh: Security and safety are a great blessing, which requires us to give thanks and praise to Allah (Mighty and Majestic). Our country, praise be to Allah and for His blessing, is living in this security and safety. So what is our obligation regarding that?

Answer:
Answer: We, praise be to Allah, are in a great blessing in our country, where we live in security in our travels, in our homes, and in our houses, fearing none but Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He). This is a great blessing. Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) reminded us of this, saying: “Who fed them from hunger and made them safe from fear.” And Ibrahim (peace be upon him) called upon his Lord: “My Lord, make this a secure land and provide for its people from the fruits.” He placed security before provision; because the one who does not have security does not enjoy his provision, no, rather it may be taken from him and he may be oppressed, and he may not feel at ease in his provision due to the lack of security. Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) clarified the importance of security in this: “Those are the ones for whom there is security, security in this world and security in the Hereafter. Those are the ones for whom there is security and they are guided,” meaning that Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) guided them to the straight path, which caused them to hold fast to it, and this security, and He provided for them this provision. There is a continuation: “Those who believed and did not mix their faith with injustice, those are the ones for whom there is security and they are guided.” Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) said: “And this is Our argument which We gave to Ibrahim against his people. We raise to degrees whom We will. Indeed, your Lord is Wise and Knowing.” Allah inspired Ibrahim and revealed to him this argument, by which He refuted them and broke their backs, and He clarified that security is only with the people of tawhid (the oneness of Allah). And we, praise be to Allah, in this country, as is well known, live in security and stability, and peace of mind, while people around us are being snatched away. Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) said: “And did We not make for them a secure sanctuary, to which the fruits of every thing are brought as provision from Us?” He said (Glorified and Exalted is He): “And did they not see that We made a secure sanctuary, while people are being snatched away from around them? Do they believe in falsehood and disbelieve in the blessing of Allah?” So Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He), when He established for Ibrahim the place of the House, Ibrahim called upon his Lord, saying: “My Lord, make this a secure land,” meaning Makkah, “and provide for its people from the fruits.” He placed the request for security before the request for provision; because provision without security does not benefit its people. And those lands now to our right and left are in anxiety, in fear, in killing, in fighting, and in the breakdown of security. And this Saudi country, praise be to Allah, lives in abundant security because it realizes the worship of Allah alone, having no partner with Him, and it stands upon serving these two noble mosques, and it enables people to perform Hajj and 'Umrah, facilitating it for them. It serves the two Harams and the visitors to them. This is from the blessing of Allah upon this country.
