The questioner : He says: I heard a hadith from one of the preachers who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said.
The Shaykh : May Allah send prayers and peace upon him.
The questioner : Is this hadith authentic?
The Shaykh : By Allah, I do not know about its authenticity, but there is no doubt that the one who believes through witnessing, looking, and seeing is not like the one who believes in the unseen. For this reason, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said one day: This hadith or its meaning. Everyone knows the difference between a person believing in something he witnesses and believing in something he is informed about, for witnessing is the eye of certainty and being informed is the knowledge of certainty, and there is a difference between them.
As for the hadith the questioner cited, I do not know about it.
The questioner : May Allah bless you.
The Shaykh : May Allah send prayers and peace upon him.

He said: How could they not believe when revelation is sent down to them? They said: Then us. He said: How could you not believe when the Messenger of Allah is among you? They said: Then who are they? He said: They are a people who will come after me, who will believe in me without having seen me.
