Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (And the night and what it gathers)

Allah the Exalted said:
And [by] the night and what it envelopsوَاللَّيْلِ وَمَا وَسَقَ
[Al-Inshiqaq: 17] This is also an oath, conjoined to the twilight,Meaning: meaning: and He swore by the night and what it gathers,And these are two oaths: the first by the night and the second by what it gathers.
The night is well known, so what is the meaning of (what it gathers)?Meaning: It means what it gathers; for the night gathers the beasts, the crawling creatures, and the like, so they assemble and come out, emerging from their burrows and their dwellings. It may also refer to the gathering of people with one another.
And [by] the moon when it becomes fullوَالْقَمَرِ إِذَا اتَّسَقَ
[Al-Inshiqaq: 18] The moon is well known, and the meaning of "when it becomes full" isMeaning: when its light assembles and becomes complete and perfect, and that is in the nights of the waxing moon. So Allah, Mighty and Majestic, swore by the night and what it gathers,Meaning: meaning what it gathers, and by the moon; for it is a sign of the night.
