The reward of the first congregation and the reward of the second congregation

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
There is a person who is the mu'adhdhin in one of the mosques, and he has adult children who are accountable. They come to the prayer late, after it has ended and the imam has said the taslim, and this happens most of the time. So the imam discussed this matter with the mu'adhdhin. So the mu'adhdhin said: They have the reward of the congregation even if they do not catch the first congregation and pray with the second congregation. The most important thing is that they come to pray in the mosque.Meaning: They do not miss the twenty-seven degrees. And this mu'adhdhin is blind. So the imam tried to convince this mu'adhdhin that he must order them to pray in congregation; because in his capacity as a mu'adhdhin, he is a role model. Since the imam observed that most of the worshippers are late for the prayer on the excuse that they saw the mu'adhdhin's children being late, and they are grown men. This imam has not yet seen a result from the advice. So should he show some harshness, either to the father or to the children? Or should he take them in a way that you consider appropriate? May Allah reward you with good.

The answer to this question has two parts: The first part: It is not permissible to follow one who neglects an obligatory duty; so you leave the obligatory duty because so-and-so does not perform it.And you are responsible for yourself:
And if you obey most of those upon the earth, they will mislead you from the way of Allahوَإِنْ تُطِعْ أَكْثَرَ مَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ يُضِلُّوكَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ
[Al-An'am: 116] So it is not permissible for a person to say: I am not going to pray in congregation; because the mu'adhdhin's children do not pray! And that is not an excuse before Allah Mighty and Majestic. Just as it is not permissible for a person to do a forbidden thing and say: So-and-so does it, even if it is a student of knowledge who does this forbidden thing. It is not permissible for a person to do it because this person does it. Rather, you are responsible for yourself. And responsible for what you answered the messengers:
And [mention] the Day He will call them and say, "What did you answer the messengers?"وَيَوْمَ يُنَادِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُ مَاذَا أَجَبْتُمُ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
[Al-Qasas: 65] .

And the second part: As for the mu'adhdhin, it is obligatory for him to order his children to pray, and to beat them for it when they reach ten years of age, until they perform the prayer in congregation. There is no blame on him in this situation if, when he calls the adhan, he goes out, wakes them up, and brings them to the mosque; because the going out here is for an excuse, and that he will return and pray in the mosque.

And as for the imam, first: It is not appropriate to discuss the mu'adhdhin in front of people; but he should discuss it with him privately, between himself and him. If the mu'adhdhin claims that he is unable to bring them to the mosque, there are responsible authorities that can bring them, such as the Commission for Promoting Good and Forbidding Evil, who can bring them by force; because these are among those for whom congregational prayer is obligatory.

And as for the mu'adhdhin's saying: If they pray in the mosque, even after the first congregation, they have the reward of twenty-seven degrees. This is not correct. The reward of twenty-seven degrees is only in the first congregation. As for the second, there is no doubt that praying in congregation is better than praying alone; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding a man who entered and had missed the prayer: (Who will give charity to this man and pray with him?) So one of the people stood up and prayed with him.

And because he, peace and blessings be upon him, said: (The prayer of a man with a man is purer than his prayer alone, and his prayer with two men is purer than his prayer with one man, and the more there are, the more beloved it is to Allah) But that the second congregation obtains the reward of the first congregation, this is not correct. Otherwise, all people would go to the mosque whenever they wished,And they pray in congregation and say: and take the reward of twenty-seven degrees. I do not know anyone who said this.Meaning: That the second prayer is like the first prayer in obtaining the reward of twenty-seven degrees.
So I do not know anyone who said this.
