The Ruling on Fulfilling a Forbidden Vow

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
If a person makes a forbidden vow, is it obligatory for him to fulfill this vow or not?
No, if a person vows to do something forbidden, it is forbidden for him to fulfill it.By the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): (Whoever vows to disobey Allah, let him not disobey Him). So if a person vows, for example, not to speak to his uncle, the vow is forbidden, and he must speak to his uncle and feed ten poor people. If he vows not to pray in congregation, he must pray and feed ten poor people. Whoever vows to do something forbidden, whether it is an obligatory act or leaving a sin, he does not fulfill it, but he must expiate it with the expiation of an oath.
