The detailed ruling on one who enters the mosque while the imam is in prostration or in the tashahhud
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Regarding entering the mosque and catching the imam in prostration, whether in the first rak'ah or the last one, some wait until the imam rises, while others prostrate, and some discussion arises among the congregation?
If he fears that this is the last rak'ah, let him wait; because if it is the last rak'ah and he enters with them, he will not have caught the congregation. But if he does not know, or if he knows that it is not the last rak'ah because he heard the iqamah beforehand, then he enters with them and hastens to enter in order to obtain the reward.
First: So that he may be in compliance with the saying of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): "So pray what you catch".
And secondly: He obtains the reward of prostration, the glorification of Allah in prostration, and the increased time in worship, so there is a detailed distinction in this matter.
