The ruling on one who remains in prostration until his imam concludes the prayer

The ruling on one who remains in prostration until his imam concludes the prayer
An imam is leading people in prayer, and when he raised his head from the last prostration, which is followed by the final tashahhud, he said the takbir but did not raise his voice, so the people remained in prostration until the imam concluded the prayer, and then they raised their heads. What is the ruling in this case?

First: I find it unlikely that the ma'mum remained for the duration of the imam's prostration and the duration of his tashahhud while they were in prostration. At the very least, one of them will say: Perhaps our man was struck by a stroke, and one of them stands up.

In any case: If this happens, then when the imam concludes the prayer, they stand up, recite the tashahhud, and conclude the prayer, and they do not have to perform the prostration for forgetfulness.
