The acts of the tenth day of Hajj

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
On the night of the festival, the pilgrims stay at Muzdalifah. Is it permissible for them to depart before praying Fajr?We say: Yes.
It is better for women and the weak to depart early; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) granted them a dispensation, and a person should not turn away from a dispensation, especially in our present time with the crowds. In fact, it is preferable for women, children, and those who cannot bear the pushing of people to depart at the end of the night in order to stone the pillars before the crowd of people. It is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he permitted women and children to depart at the end of the night.
At Muzdalifah, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood after he prayed Fajr at al-Mash'ar al-Haram,because of His saying, the Exalted:
But when you depart from 'Arafat, remember Allah at al- Mash'ar al-Haram.فَإِذَا أَفَضْتُمْ مِنْ عَرَفَاتٍ فَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ عِنْدَ الْمَشْعَرِ الْحَرَامِ
[al-Baqarah:198] And is it necessary that the standing be there -Meaning: at the Mash'ar, which is the location of the mosque today? No.
It is not necessary; because the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) stood at the Mash'ar and said: (I stood here, and all of Muzdalifah is a standing place) and all of it is in Muzdalifah.

On the day of the festival, and after arriving at Mina, we understand that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) did the following: First: he stoned, then he slaughtered, then he shaved and exited the state of ihram, then he descended and performed tawaf. This is the best: that a person arrange them in this order: stoning, then slaughtering, then shaving, then tawaf, then sa'y for one who is performing tamattu', ifrad, or qiran and had not performed sa'y after tawaf al-qudum. If a person brings forward some of these five or four acts of worship, is there any blame on him?
No.

Listen to the answer from the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) when he was not asked on that day about anything being brought forward or delayed except that he said: (Do it, and there is no blame) until a questioner from among the people said to him: (I performed sa'y before I performed tawaf? He said: There is no blame) And this is from the mercy of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) that He made room for people to bring forward some of these things over others so that they do not all gather on one thing; because if all the people gathered on stoning, or all on tawaf, or all on slaughtering, hardship would occur in that. But if the matter is spread out, so that this one goes to Makkah and performs tawaf, and this one goes to the place of slaughter and slaughters, and this one goes to the place of stoning and stones, then there is ease in that.

It was reported in some of the questions that came to the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) on that day that the questioner said: I did not realize, so I did such-and-such before such-and-such.
And in some of them, the general statement was made,So do we take this restriction and say: that it is not permissible to change the order except for a person who did not realize?Answer: No.
We do not restrict this;Because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (Do it, and there is no blame) and this is for the future,If he had said: there is no blame on you. We said: perhaps this answer is based on the question, and that there is no blame on a person if he brings forward some of them over others without realizing it,But since he did not say: do it, and there is no blame.
And (Do it) as people know that it is for the future, we know that the order is not obligatory, and for this reason, when the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) wanted to correct what had occurred and prevent what was to come, he said to Abu Bakrah when he bowed before reaching the row: (May Allah increase your zeal, and do not repeat it) and if this order had been obligatory, he would have said to the questioner: there is no blame, and do not repeat it.

In any case: The one who reflects on the Sunnah in this matter sees that the matter is broad, and that there is no blame if a person brings forward some of them over others, whether for an excuse or without an excuse.
So on the day of the festival, how many acts of worship does the pilgrim perform? Five, if he is performing tamattu', or ifrad, or qiran and had not performed sa'y with tawaf al-qudum. And four if he is performing ifrad or qiran and performed sa'y with tawaf al-qudum; because in this case, sa'y is dropped from him.
This is on the day of the festival.
