The Description of Hajj and Its Three Types

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
So, what is the method of performing Hajj?
Hajj is that you perform it as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) performed it, because that is a condition for the acceptance of worship.Rather, the conditions for the acceptance of worship are two: The first: Sincerity to Allah the Exalted.

The second: Following the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).

For this reason, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the people during the Farewell Pilgrimage: (Take from me your rituals) So, sincerity to Allah and following the Prophet are necessary.
Therefore, if a person performs Hajj for the sake of money only, his Hajj is rejected.because of His saying, the Exalted:
So whoever would hope for the meeting with his Lord - let him do righteous work and not associate in the worship of his Lord anyone."فَمَنْ كَانَ يَرْجُوا لِقَاءَ رَبِّهِ فَلْيَعْمَلْ عَمَلاً صَالِحاً وَلا يُشْرِكْ بِعِبَادَةِ رَبِّهِ أَحَداً
[al-Kahf:110] And among the things some people take now is the agency in Hajj. If you ask him: Why did you take this agency? He said: For the sake of money, he has no share in the Hereafter. The Shaykh al-Islam (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Whoever takes it to perform Hajj, there is no blame on him; because he takes the money to help himself in obedience. But whoever performs Hajj to take money, he has no share in the Hereafter.
So, be careful of this. Do not let greed lead you to take the agency for five thousand or more or less for the sake of money, so that your work is nullified and neither you nor your client benefit. It is necessary to be sincere to Allah Mighty and Majestic, intending with your Hajj to draw near to your Lord Blessed and Exalted is He, and hoping for His reward, because the accepted Hajj has no reward except Paradise.

The second: Following the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). So we say: Perform Hajj as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) performed it and as he commanded. And before you are three types of rituals: Tamattu', Qiran, and Ifrad. Three types, each differing from the others.

As for Tamattu': That you enter the state of Ihram for 'Umrah in the months of Hajj,Meaning: after the entry of the month of Shawwal, and you exit from it completely, then you enter the state of Ihram for Hajj. In this, there is a sacrificial animal for the one who is able to afford it, and whoever does not find one fasts three days during Hajj and seven when he returns to his family.

The second: Qiran: You enter the state of Ihram for both Hajj and 'Umrah from the Miqat, and you remain in your state of Ihram until you exit on the Day of Sacrifice. In this, there is a sacrificial animal for the one who finds one, and whoever does not find one fasts three days during Hajj and seven when he returns.

The third: Ifrad: This is that you enter the state of Ihram for Hajj alone without 'Umrah, and you remain in your state of Ihram until the Day of Sacrifice, but there is no sacrificial animal in it; because the original reason for the sacrificial animal in Tamattu' and Qiran is to thank Allah Mighty and Majestic for what He has bestowed upon the servant by obtaining the two pilgrimages in one journey.
For this reason, it is permissible for a person to eat from the sacrificial animal of Tamattu', give it as a gift, and give it in charity. It is not like the blood that is obligatory for committing a prohibited act or leaving an obligatory act; because a person does not eat from that, but he feeds the poor.

And the best of these rituals is: Tamattu', and if one performs Ifrad or Qiran, there is no blame, but the best is to perform Tamattu'; because this is what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) commanded his Companions to do in the Farewell Pilgrimage.
And, if Allah wills, the description of Tamattu', Qiran, and Ifrad in detail will come in a future meeting, as will, if Allah wills, the discussion of the prohibitions of Ihram.
