The Manner of Hajj in Three Ways

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and I send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment.

To proceed: This is the one hundred and twenty-first episode of the Open Meeting, which takes place every Thursday of every week, and this is the sixteenth Thursday of the month of Dhul-Qa'dah, in the year (1416 AH) , and since this meeting is the last one before Hajj, we are speaking about Hajj: about its manner first.
Then about the conditions for its obligation.
Then about its prohibitions.
Then about its obligatory acts and pillars, if it is facilitated.

So we say: The manner of Hajj is in three ways: The first way: Tamattu'.

And the second aspect: Qiran.

And the third way: Ifrad.
These are the manners of the rites.

Tamattu' is: That a person enters the state of Ihram for 'Umrah in the months of Hajj, intending to perform Hajj, then he exits the state of Ihram from it and enters the state of Ihram for Hajj in the same year, so there is a state of Ihram between the 'Umrah and the Hajj.

And Qiran: That he enters the state of Ihram for both Hajj and 'Umrah from the Miqat, and remains in his state of Ihram until the Day of 'Eid.

And Ifrad: That he enters the state of Ihram for Hajj alone from the Miqat, and remains in his state of Ihram until the Day of 'Eid.
And these rites differ in terms of the work.

So, Tamattu': A separate 'Umrah and a separate Hajj,Meaning: That each rite of the two rites has its own specific acts.

And as for Qiran: For he combines them with one state of Ihram.

And as for Ifrad, it is: A separate Hajj without an 'Umrah.
And in these three rites, the sacrificial animal is obligatory in Tamattu' and Qiran, as a thanksgiving to Allah (Mighty and Majestic) for what He facilitated for the one in the state of Ihram in combining the two rites in one journey.
