The Etiquette of Greeting in Islam

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets and the Imam of the Pious, and upon his family and his Companions, and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment.

To proceed: This is the forty-fifth meeting of the series known as "The Open Door Meeting", which takes place every Thursday of each week, and this is the second Thursday of the month of Sha'ban in the year 1417 AH.
We begin this meeting by discussing what has been facilitated of the exegesis of Surat al-Dhariyat,We have reached the saying of Allah the Exalted:
[Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?"قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا الْمُرْسَلُونَ
[al-Dhariyat:31] but I decided to speak about the etiquette of greeting, since the angels said: "Peace,"So Ibrahim said: "Peace," and we mentioned previously that Ibrahim's response was better than the angels' initial greeting; because Ibrahim's response was a nominal sentence, which implies permanence and continuity, unlike the angels' "Peace."
