Types of conveyed greetings and how to respond to them

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
And if a greeting is conveyed to you,If the one carrying it is a person and he says: saying, "So-and-so sends you his greetings,"Say: you say, "Peace be upon you and upon him,"And if you wish, say: "Peace be upon him" meaning: upon the one who conveyed it. As for when it is conveyed in a letter,Meaning: if a person writes you a letter and says, "Peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings," then if you wish to reply to him by letter, return the answer. For example, if a person writes to you,And he said: "Peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings," when replying you write: "J/ And upon you be peace, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. I have read your letter and understood what is in it, and the answer is such and such." Most people do not pay attention to this nowadays; you find one writing the answer and saying at the beginning, "Peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah." This is good, but the one who greeted you wants an answer.Say: "J/ Answer: And upon you be peace, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Your letter reached me, or I read your letter and understood what is in it, and this is its answer." And you answer him with what he asked you. So if the greeting is written, its answer is by writing.
It is good if it does not require an answer, such as if a person writes to you a letter informing you of news that does not require an answer,So here, if you read the letter, say: and you say, "And upon you be peace, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings." I do not say this is obligatory, because your companion will not hear it, but it is on the basis of recommendation. If a man prays for you in your absence, then you pray for him in his absence. And here ends the discussion on the greeting, and if Allah wills, we will complete the explanation of what has been facilitated from Surat al-Dhariyat.
