Exegesis of His saying, the Exalted: (Or do you command them, their reason, to do this?)
Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Tur: 32] The (am) here is disconnected, and the disconnected (am) is estimated as (bal) and the hamzah,The meaning: bal at-tamirhum, and this is a transition from the first to the second, do you command them (their reason) meaning: their intellects to do this,They say: that he is a madman, that he is a soothsayer, that he is a poet, do their intellects command them to do this?
[Al-Tur: 32] ,Meaning: Rather, their intellects do not command them to do this, and many of them know that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in truth, but arrogance overcame them -seeking refuge in Allah- so they denied and lied,And for this he said: [Al-Tur: 32] ,Meaning: transgressing and unjust, and the origin of tyranny is exceeding the limit,As in the saying of Allah the Exalted: [Al-Haqqah: 11] meaning: it increased and rose above its usual state, [Al-Haqqah: 11] .
