The Ruling on Sacrificing Water Buffalo

Water buffalo differ from cattle in many characteristics, just as goats differ from sheep. Allah distinguished between sheep and goats in Surat al-An'am, but He did not distinguish between water buffalo and cattle. Does the water buffalo fall within the eight categories of livestock, making it permissible to sacrifice it, or is it not permissible?
If it is included among them, then it is included. If it is not included among them, then Allah mentioned what is known among the Arabs, and the water buffalo is not known among the Arabs.
