Then He, the Exalted, said:

We have created you, so why do you not believe?

نَحْنُ خَلَقْنَاكُمْ فَلَوْلا تُصَدِّقُونَ

[Al-Waqi'ah: 57] This is a matter that no one denies, that our Creator is Allah. Even the polytheists who associate partners with Allah, if they are asked who created them?They said: They say: Allah. That is,

We created you

نَحْنُ خَلَقْنَاكُمْ

the first time,

So why do you not believe?

فَلَوْلا تُصَدِّقُونَ

And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation

وَأَنَّ عَلَيْهِ النَّشْأَةَ الأُخْرَى

So why do you not believe?

فَلَوْلا تُصَدِّقُونَ
