Exegesis of Verses from Surat al-Waqi'ah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment.

To proceed: This is the four-hundredth session of the gatherings known as (The Open Door), which take place every Thursday, and this Thursday is the twenty-seventh of the month of Muharram in the year (1420 AH).
We begin this session with what has become customary, which is the exegesis of the Book of Allah (Mighty and Majestic).

In the previous lesson, we mentioned regarding the saying of Allah:
And a shade of black smoke,وَظِلٍّ مِنْ يَحْمُومٍ
[al-Waqi'ah: 43] It was explained to us that what is above the gold is smoke, and it became clear to us afterwards that it is pure smoke, so (Yahmum) is smoke, and Allah described it as (neither cool nor pleasant), not cool as is the case with shadows, and not pleasant, meaning: which are pleasant to look at, because this smoke is unpleasant to look at and hot to the touch. We ask Allah for well-being.
