Explanation of When the Believer Is Given Good News at Death or After It

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
When the Mother of the Believers, Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): “Do we all hate death? So he said: Indeed, when the believer is given good news of meeting Allah, he loves meeting Allah, so Allah loves meeting him) Is the good news at the time of death or after death?
At the time of death, and this hadith was mentioned by Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned: “Whoever loves meeting Allah, Allah loves meeting him, and whoever hates meeting Allah, Allah hates meeting him,She said: O Messenger of Allah! Do we all hate death? — because she knew that meeting Allah occurs through death,As Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) said: ((O MAN, YOU ARE TOILING TOWARD YOUR LORD WITH EFFORT, AND THEN YOU WILL MEET HIM)) [Al-Shu'ara: 6]-He said to her: It is not that; rather, the meaning is that if a person is given good news of Paradise at the time of death, he loves meeting Allah) Therefore, the effect of happiness and joy appears on the faces of some of the dying, to the extent that a man told me about a grandfather of his on his mother’s side who was in a hospital room when his death approached,He says: and what startled me was that the room filled with unusual light, so I feared for myself, and there was the man in his final moments, his face illuminated, and he began to smile. In this state, a person rejoices to move to a soul and a fragrance and a Lord who is pleased and not angry, so he loves meeting Allah, and Allah loves meeting him.
As for the disbeliever — may Allah protect us from that — you see him being given news of punishment in the Fire and an angry Lord, so he hates death. Therefore, his soul returns and scatters in his body, and it is extracted from him with intensity and force. May Allah protect us and you from this.
