The ruling on a teacher testing his students when he knows the answer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Is it permissible for a teacher to ask his students to interpret a verse of the Qur'an when he knows the answer, but only to see whether his students have understood or not?
It is permissible to test a student with what the teacher knows, and there is no blame on him. Did not Jibril (peace be upon him) ask the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about Islam, faith, and excellence in worship, even though he knew the answer? Yes, he knew it.And for this he said: (You have spoken the truth), even though Jibril intended for the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) to clarify the religion, which is (Islam, faith, and excellence in worship), in the form of a question and answer so that it would be more firmly established. It is permissible for a teacher to ask a student about something he knows. In this case, if he asks him about the interpretation of a verse, it is known that it is not permissible for a person to interpret the Qur'an except with knowledge. But if the student interprets it with what he has, and does not know whether it is correct or not, is it permissible or not?Answer: It is permissible. Why? Because he has someone who will correct him and verify his words. As for the student interpreting it while he does not know, from a person whom he considers to have asked for a ruling and who issued it, and then it ends there, this is not permissible. Likewise, if the teacher asks him, "Is this forbidden or not?" It is permissible. Why? Because he has someone who will correct his words and verify them.
