Exegesis of His saying, the Exalted: (It is He who sends down upon His servant clear verses)
Then Allah the Exalted said: [al-Hadid: 9] When it was mentioned that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) calls to faith, it was clarified that he (peace and blessings be upon him) brought clear verses, meaning signs indicating his truthfulness and that what he brought is the truth,And the meaning of clear proofs: manifest, in what it contains of beneficial narratives, truthful reports, just rulings, complete eloquence, and wondrous clarity, to the extent that the Arabs, who are the masters and leaders of eloquence, were challenged by Allah (Mighty and Majestic) several times to bring forth the like of this Qur'an, but they were unable to do so,So He the Mighty and Majestic says:[Al-Hadid 57:9] meaning signs indicating that he is truly the Messenger of Allah, and that what he brought is the truth, due to what it contains of truthful reports, just rulings, beneficial narratives, eloquence and rhetoric, and other known matters.
And His saying, the Exalted: [al-Hadid: 9] His saying: (to bring you out) it is possible that the intended meaning is the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), meaning to be a cause for bringing you out of the darknesses into the light, and it is possible that it refers to Allah (Mighty and Majestic), meaning that Allah the Exalted brings you out of the darknesses into the light with these verses, and both meanings are true,Allah the Exalted said: [al-Baqarah: 257] And Allah the Exalted said: [Ibrahim: 1] So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) is the cause of bringing people out of the darknesses into the light, whereas the true One who brings them out is Allah (Mighty and Majestic).
And what is meant by the darknesses are the darknesses of ignorance and shirk (associating partners with Allah), and the darknesses of aggression and disobedience, so whatever contradicts the truth is darkness, and whatever conforms to it is light,His saying, Exalted is He: To whom does the pronoun refer? Either to Allah or to the Messenger. What supports that it refers to Allah? The saying of Allah the Exalted: [al-Baqarah: 257] And what supports that it refers to the Messenger? [Ibrahim: 1] And if the verse allows for two meanings, and there is no contradiction between them, it is to be understood as applying to both, so Allah is the One who brings out in reality, and the Messenger is the One who brings out as a cause.
[al-Hadid: 9] This sentence is a declarative statement affirmed by the particle "inna" and the lam [Al-Hadid 57:9] and ra'ufah is the most tender of mercy, and rahmah is broader, so He (Mighty and Majestic) is Ra'uf and Rahim, meaning He is the One who has mercy upon the believers, (Mighty and Majestic),As Allah the Exalted said: [al-Ahzab: 43] The mercy of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) is either general or specific,The general: encompassing all people,And the specific: for the believers,As Allah the Mighty and Majestic said: [al-Ahzab: 43] .
If someone were to say: What is the mercy of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) for the disbeliever? He provided them with blessings, children, intellect, security, and sustenance, indeed, the disbelievers have been hastened to their good things in this worldly life, is that not so?Allah, Mighty and Majestic, said: [an-Nahl: 61] So if someone asks you: Does Allah have mercy upon the disbeliever? So do not say: Yes,No: No, as for the general meaning, yes, and were it not for the mercy of Allah for him, he would have perished, and as for the specific meaning, no, the specific mercy is for the believers only, as He (Mighty and Majestic) said: [Al-Ahzab 33:43] .
Then Allah the Exalted said:
It is He who sends down upon His Servant [Muhammad] verses of clear evidence
It is He who sends down upon His Servant [Muhammad] verses of clear evidence
And His saying, the Exalted:
that He may bring you out from darknesses into the light. And indeed, Allah is to you Kind and Merciful.
Allah is the ally of those who believe. He brings them out from darknesses into the light.
Alif, Lam, Ra. [This is] a Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that you might bring mankind out of darknesses into the light
And what is meant by the darknesses are the darknesses of ignorance and shirk (associating partners with Allah), and the darknesses of aggression and disobedience, so whatever contradicts the truth is darkness, and whatever conforms to it is light,His saying, Exalted is He:
to bring you out
Allah is the ally of those who believe. He brings them out from darknesses into the light.

And ever is He, to the believers, Merciful.
