The ruling on disobeying a parent who prevents his son from seeking knowledge

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
A man wants to seek knowledge,But his father says: and he says, "Sit with me," and does not encourage him to seek knowledge. So when he wants to go visit one of the scholars or to seek knowledge, he says: "I will review a transaction with the government offices in Riyadh or something like that," because that is easier for him. So if he goes seeking worldly matters, there is no embarrassment,Just if you said: but if he goes for da'wah or to seek knowledge, he is not pleased with that?
May Allah reward you. According to your description, the father is worldly,She says: and if you ask his permission to work in worldly matters directly, he gives you permission,And regarding the work of the Hereafter, he says: or he is reluctant! First: I advise this father by saying to him: "Fear Allah, do not prevent your son from seeking religious knowledge, or from a matter in which there is religious benefit for him; for you would then be among those who forbid what is right, like the hypocrites."

And we say to the son: You may disobey your father and go to seek knowledge, and visit him occasionally, except if there is a dire necessity that requires you to stay with him. In that case, dutifulness to parents takes precedence.

For example: If your father is sick and no one is there to care for him, this is a dire necessity, and you stay. However, the continuation of a state is impossible, and this necessity must end.
